About Us

Barretts have been established in Canterbury for over 100 years.  We first started selling bicycles at our shop at the Westgate in 1902.  Having progressed quickly into motor vehicles, we have expanded steadily and significantly since then and now represent eight different marques at sites in Canterbury and Ashford.

We are still family owned and run, and although cars may have changed almost beyond recognition over the last 100 years, our attitudes and principles to selling and maintaining them.  We understand the importance of a professional, friendly and un-pressured approach to doing business.  As we’ve grown in size we’ve not forgotten the significance of the personal touch.

Welcome to our website.  We at Barretts like to think we do things a bit differently. We’re a family firm with old fashioned family virtues.  And although we’re always looking to find new customers, we never forget to look after our current ones.
